Korp Kun Ka, Thailand, And Goodnight...

Tom yam goong- fiery yet with flavour,
Happy children on their best behaviour,
Always a tuk-tuk within easy reach,
Islands with bungalows right on the beach,
Learning to scuba-dive in turquoise sea,
And to celebrate- a bucket or three!
Noodle soup for breakfast- cheap and hearty,
Dancing 'til dawn at the Full Moon Party,
Walking Kho San Road, drinking Chang towers,
As ladies sell wooden frogs for hours!
Rainy day card games with Bob and Colleen,
Making Thai friends through Phayao's clubbing scene,
Enjoying Thai massage- body and feet,
Dancing ladyboys on a Patpong street,
Messing with elephants by waterfalls,
Yummy food on many night market stalls,
Hot curries, papaya salad, pad thai,
Eating raw green chillies that made me cry!
A country with people and food divine,
Read the starting letter of every line
To better understand this heart of mine.
